Props for TV ad and customer engagement campaign

B&Q is the UK’s leading home improvement and garden retailer. They have been helping customers improve their homes since 1969. They pride themselves on making it easy for homeowners to maintain and improve their properties so they look and feel great. B&Q formed a strategic partnership with US paint manufacturer, Valspar and brought the new range in the UK market. To promote the new Valspar range B&Q carried out a high level campaign  that included TV.







The Project

The stars of B&Q's TV campaign were ‘Steve the Sock’ and ‘Bunny'. B&Q wanted to replicate the unique props for a store based campaign. Livewire sourced the materials and manufactured 440 individual sock characters exactly as the same as the unique version used in the TV commercials. We also located and obtained 440 stuffed Bunnies and 764 Maracas then collated and delivered these directly to 357 stores across the UK, Ireland and Scotland in advance of a new paint promotion campaign hitting the TV screens.
